Solar activity was very quiet with no sunspots on the disk and X-ray flux at background levels and this is expected to persist over the next days. No Earth directed CMEs have been observed in coronagraph data. Proton flux values were at background levels and expected to remain so.
Solar wind conditions remained elevated under the coronal hole high speed stream influence. Solar wind speed was mainly in the 650-720 km/s range with total magnetic field around the nominal 5 nT and Bz variable. Solar wind conditions will continue to be enhanced before starting a gradual decrease. Geomagnetic conditions were quiet to active (local K Dourbes 1-4, NOAA Kp 2-4). Further active periods are likely as high speed stream influence persists.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 09 stations.
