Bulletin

Solar activity was very low. There are currently no sunspot regions on the visible solar hemisphere. No earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) were observed in available coronagraphic imagery. The greater than 10MeV proton flux was at nominal levels.

Quiet flaring conditions are expected to continue.

Earth seems to be gradually exiting the high speed stream (HSS) from the negative polarity coronal hole (CH). Solar wind speed declined from its initial 530 km/s to 480 km/s. Bz fluctuated between -6 nT and +4 nT, being predominantly negative starting around 0600UT. The interplanetary magnetic field was mostly directed towards the Sun.

The geomagnetic field was at quiet to active levels. Mostly quiet to unsettled conditions are expected, with still a chance on an active episode.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 21 stations.
