Bulletin

Over the past 24 hours solar activity has been low. No significant flares have been recorded. No Earth directed CMEs have been detected in coronagraph observations. The greater than 10MeV proton flux remained at background levels over the past 24 hours. Solar activity is expected to remain low over the next 24 hours with a small probability of C-class flares. The solar wind speed has fluctuated between 380 and 420 km/s over the past 24 hours. The total magnetic field strength has fluctuated between 5 nT and 7 nT. The Bz component was largely positive, fluctuating between -4 and +4 nT. Geomagnetic conditions ranged between Kp index 1-2 (NOAA) and local K index 0-2 (Dourbes) over the past 24 hours. Over the next 24 hours Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be quiet to unsettled.
