Bulletin

Solar activity was at very low levels during the period. NOAA 2664 is currently the only sunspot region on the solar disk. It is slowly developing and produced a B1 flare on 26 June at 07:28UT. No earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) were observed in available coronagraphic imagery. The greater than 10MeV proton flux was at nominal levels.

Quiet flaring conditions are expected, with a small chance on a C-class flare.

Earth was under the influence of a moderate speed coronal hole wind stream. Solar wind speed continued its gradual increase with current values around 560 km/s (DSCOVR). Bz fluctuated between -7 and +6 nT. The interplanetary magnetic field was mostly directed away from the Sun. A small positive equatorial coronal hole was at the central meridian on 25 June.

The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled levels, and is expected to remain so, but with a chance on an active episode.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 024, based on 20 stations.
