Bulletin

During last 24 hours only few low B-class were reported. All flaring activity originated from the active region which is rotating from the behind of the East solar limb. This active region might be the source of B-class and isolated C-class flares in the coming hours. The coronagraph images do not show signatures of a possibly Earth directed CME. The solar protons remain at the background level.

The solar wind speed is about 280 km/s and the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is rather low with the value of about 2 nT. The increase of the solar wind speed, associated with equatorial coronal hole which reached central meridian on April 16 is expected later today, or tomorrow morning. The geomagnetic conditions are presently quiet. We expect quiet to unsettled conditions later today and possibly active geomagnetic conditions tomorrow.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 007, based on 27 stations.
