No active regions on the visible solar disc. No C-class flares in past 24 h and the situation is not expected to change.
No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) have been detected. Solar protons have remained at background levels over the past 24 h.
The solar wind speed at L1 is at 450 km /s with interplanetary magnetic field magnitude of 10 nT. The speed has increased about 150 km/s since yesterday, showing the first signs of the upcoming arrival of the high speed solar wind stream from a negative polarity coronal hole located in the southern hemisphere. Geomagnetic conditions have ranged from quiet to unsettled and active periods can be expected for the next 48 h (with isolated minor storm periods).
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 27 stations.
