Bulletin

Over the past 24 hours solar activity has been quiet. No significant flares have been recorded. Active Region (AR) 2712 (Mcintosh class:Bxo; Mag. type:Beta) has been most active, producing B-class flares. However, the region will soon pass over the West limb. No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) have been detected. There are no significant coronal holes or filaments. Solar activity is expected to remain low over the next 24 hours with a low probability of C-class flares. The solar wind speed has decreased from around 800 to 600 km/s over the past 24 hours. The total magnetic field strength has fluctuated around 5 nT. The Bz component has fluctuated around 0, between -3 and +3 nT. Geomagnetic conditions ranged between Kp index 1-3 (NOAA) and local K index 0-4 (Dourbes) over the past 24 hours. The passing of a low latitude coronal hole, and it's resulting high-speed stream (HSS) has seen a reduction in the solar wind speed. Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be quiet.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 15 stations.
