Over the past 24 hours solar activity has been quiet. No significant flares have been recorded. No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) have been detected. There are no significant filaments. The greater than 10MeV proton flux remained at background levels over the past 24 hours. Solar activity is expected to remain low over the next 24 hours with a low probability of C-class flares. The solar wind speed has fluctuated between 500 and 700 km/s over the past 24 hours. The total magnetic field strength has fluctuated around 6 nT. The Bz component has been mainly negative fluctuating between -4 and +3 nT. Geomagnetic conditions ranged between Kp index 1-3 (NOAA) and local K index 1-4 (Dourbes) over the past 24 hours. Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be mostly unsettled due to the negative polarity coronal hole possible influences.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 28 stations.
