Bulletin

Solar activity remained at very low levels. The Sun was spotless. No earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) were observed over the last 24 hours. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal values. A negative polarity equatorial coronal hole (CH) is starting its transit of the central meridian.

Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.

Earth remained under the influence of the High Speed Stream (HSS) associated with the positive polarity coronal hole (CH). Solar wind speed varied mostly between 490 and 550 km/s, with a brief maximum of 565 km/s around 16UT (DSCOVR). Bz varied between -5 and +5 nT. The interplanetary magnetic field was directed away from the Sun (positive sector). Geomagnetic activity ranged from quiet to unsettled conditions.

Quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions are expected, an isolated active interval remains possible.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 10 stations.
