Bulletin

Solar flaring activity was at very low levels. No significant flares have been recorded. Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.

No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) were observed in the available coronagraphic imagery.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels the past 24 hours. It is expected to remain so in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at nominal levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to stay at nominal levels for the next 24 hours.

The solar wind speed near Earth exhibited a small increase possibly as a combination of the CME erupting on June 21st and the beginning of the influence of the Coronal Hole (CH) crossing Central Meridian(CM) on June 23rd. The values of the speed oscillated between 310 and 470 km/s (DSCOVR+ACE). The polarity of the Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) was predominantly oriented away from the Sun (phi angle in the positive sector). Bz fluctuated between -4 and +3 nT. The magnitude of the magnetic field varied between 2 and 5 nT. For the next 24 hours a southern CH shall cross the CM and the solar wind speed is expected to increase further.

Quiet geomagnetic conditions were registered for the past 24 hours (K Dourbes recorded values 1-2 and NOAA Kp 0-2). Quiet to unsettled (K Dourbes = 3) geomagnetic conditions are expected for the next 24 hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 006, based on 29 stations.
