Bulletin

The solar activity was mostly quiet over the past 24 hours. The active regions NOAA AR 2778 and 2779 rotated out of the view over the west limb, nevertheless two C-class flares were observed coming from those regions. The solar activity is expected to remain mostly at low levels with a low probability of C-class flare.

No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) were observed in the available coronagraphic imagery in the last 24 hours.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels over the past 24 hours and is expected to stay at nominal levels for the next 24 hours. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was slightly above the threshold of 10^3 pfu between 14:00 and 20:00 on November 1. It is expected to remain mostly at low levels.

The Earth is currently under the influence of the slow solar wind streams. The solar wind speed varied between 320 km/s and 420 km/s. Bz was above -6.3 nT and B reached 6 nT. The solar wind speed is expected to remain at low speeds over the next 24 hours.

The geomagnetic conditions were quiet with the Kp-NOAA and KDourbes index ranging between 0 and 3. For a very short period, KDourbes also showed some active conditions and reached 4. The CME from October 26 may still arrive to Earth today and cause up to active conditions. Otherwise quiet to unsettled conditions expected in the next 24 hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 007, based on 14 stations.
