Bulletin

Solar activity was at very low levels. NOAA 2782 (Catania 52) and NOAA 2781 (Catania 50) were quiet and stable. Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels, with a small chance on an isolated C-class flare. No earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) were observed in available coronagraphic imagery.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels and is expected to remain so. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was below the 1000 pfu alert threshold and is expected to remain so. The 24h electron fluence was at nominal levels and is expected to remain so.

Solar wind speed undulated between 360 and 440 km/s (ACE and DSCOVR). Bz varied between -4 and +7 nT. The direction of the interplanetary magnetic field (phi angle) was variable.

Geomagnetic activity was at quiet levels, with Dourbes registering unsettled conditions during the 08-11UTC interval. Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be at quiet levels, with a small chance on an unsettled episode.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 023, based on 14 stations.
