Solar conditions were quiet in the past 24 hours featuring one C1.6 flare originating from AR NOAA 1689. A still ongoing long duration C2.1 flare is detected by GOES which is associated with a filament eruption around AR NOAA 1690 and NOAA 1691. It is not yet confirmed if the CME is Earth bound. Solar activity is expected to be quiet to eruptive. The interplanetary magnetic field Bz component is low (-5 to 0 nT) and solar wind speed is around 320 km/s. Geomagnetic conditions are quiet and are expected to remain so for the next 48 hours.
