Solar activity was very low with a background X-ray flux at lower B-level and no C-class flares in the past 24 hours. At most low C-class flares are expected. A few long filaments are visible (one centered at S30W20 and one at N15E25), but yet show no sign of an upcoming eruption. No Earth-bound CMEs were observed. Earth is inside a slow solar wind with a magnetic field of maximal magnitude 5 nT. Geomagnetic activity is quiet (local K at Dourbes and estimated planetary NOAA Kp <4) and is expected to remain so in the next 24 hours.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 046, based on 16 stations.
