Solar activity was very low. Some activity has emerged near the East limb, resulting in a small Eastward oriented CME. Flaring activity is expected to gradually increase to the lower C-level, due to a new active region that is currently rounding the East limb (S15). No Earth-bound CMEs were observed. The solar wind speed remains low in the range of 300-350 km/s. A small jump was observed in the Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) near 1:30 UT. Geomagnetic conditions are quiet (K <4) and are expected to remain so till the arrival of a coronal hole high speed stream may increase activity on May 28.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 039, based on 19 stations.
