Bulletin

Solar activity was at very low levels. The Sun was spotless. No Earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CME) were observed during the period. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal values.

Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.

The solar wind speed remained stable at the values around 460 km/s (ACE). The total interplanetary magnetic field gradually decreased from 5.5 nT till the values around 2 nT. Bz varied between -3 and +3 nT.

Quiet geomagnetic conditions were observed. Quiet geomagnetic conditions are expected today and tomorrow. Unsettled geomagnetic conditions can be expected from August 16 due to the coronal hole moving into a geoeffective position

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 18 stations.
