Solar activity was at very low levels. The Sun was spotless. No Earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CME) were observed during the period. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal values.
Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels. The solar wind speed gradually decreased from 460 km/s till the valueas around 430 km/s (ACE). The total interplanetary magnetic field remained stable at the values around 4.5 nT. Bz varied between -2.5 and +2.5 nT.
Quiet geomagnetic conditions were observed. Quiet geomagnetic conditions are expected today. Unsettled geomagnetic conditions can be expected tomorrow due to the coronal hole moving into a geoeffective position.
Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 18 stations.
