Bulletin

Solar activity was at very low levels over the past 24 hours. There were no active regions on the visible solar disc. The flaring activity was very low and it is expected to remain low in the next 24 hours.

The CME associated with the filament close the south-west limb erupting around 12 UTC on Feb 12th is currently not expected to impact the Earth. No other Earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) were detected in the available coronagraph imagery.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels in the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2MeV electron flux remained well under the 1000 pfu threshold and is expected to remain so in the next 24 hours. The 24h electron fluence was at normal levels and is now expected to remain so in the next 24 hours given the weakened influence of the HSS which arrived to the Earth on Feb 13th.

Over the past 24 hours the solar wind parameters (ACE and DSCOVR) were slightly enhanced due the remaining influence of the HSS which arrived to the Earth on Feb 13th. The total magnetic field varied between 0.7 nT and 7.7 nT and the Bz component was rather weak in the range of -4.8 nT to 3.3 nT. The solar wind speed showed a decrease ranging between 530 km/s and 360 km/s, but is expected to remain slightly enhance in the next 24 hours.

The geomagnetic conditions over the past 24 hours were quiet to unsettled. Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected for the next 24 hours with possible isolated active periods.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 17 stations.
