Bulletin

Solar activity was at low levels over the past 24 hours. There was no sunspots on the visible solar disc. The flaring activity was at low levels and it is expected to remain low in the next 24 hours.

No Earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) was observed in the available coronagraph imagery.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal levels in the past 24 hours and is expected to remain so in the next 24 hours. The greater than 2MeV electron flux remained under the 1000 pfu threshold and is expected to remain so in the next 24 hours.

Over the past 24 hours the solar wind parameters (ACE and DSCOVR) were returning to nominal values: The solar wind speed decreased from about 405 km/s to the current values around 310 km/s, the total magnetic field was below 5 nT and the Bz component ranged between of -3.0 nT to 2.5 nT. The high speed streams associated to the extension of north pole coronal hole (positive polarity, and facing Earth on February 13) may slightly enhancement the solar wind parameters later in about 12-24 hours.

The geomagnetic conditions over the past 24 hours were quiet. Mostly quiet conditions are expected for the next 24 hours with possible unsettled periods due to the expected slight enhancement of the solar wind parameters tomorrow.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 08 stations.
